What problem can occur when using an automatic notch filter (ANF) to remove interfering carriers while receiving CW signals?
Pick an answer to check it.
Answer: A. Removal of the CW signal as well as the interfering carrier
An automatic notch filter removes steady carriers. A CW signal is also a steady carrier, so the ANF may notch out the CW signal you want along with the interference.
Tip: ANF can't tell CW from a carrier.
