How is the Q of an RLC parallel resonant circuit calculated?
Pick an answer to check it.
Answer: C. Resistance divided by the reactance of either the inductance or capacitance
For a parallel RLC circuit, Q = R / X, the resistance divided by the reactance of either the inductor or capacitor. This is the inverse of the series formula, Q = X / R.
Tip: Parallel Q = R / X.
