For what portion of the signal cycle does each active element in a push-pull, Class AB amplifier conduct?
Pick an answer to check it.
Answer: A. More than 180 degrees but less than 360 degrees
A Class AB device is biased so it conducts a little longer than half the cycle: more than 180 degrees but less than 360. This overlap in a push-pull pair reduces crossover distortion.
Tip: Class AB: between Class A (360) and B (180).
