Which of the following conductors is preferred for bonding at RF?
Pick an answer to check it.
Answer: D. Flat copper strap
At radio frequencies, current travels mostly on the surface of a conductor (skin effect). A flat copper strap has lots of surface area and low inductance, so it is the preferred choice for RF bonding. Round wire or braid has less surface and more inductance.
Tip: RF bonding: flat copper strap, wide and short.
