Why is skip propagation via the F2 region longer than that via the other ionospheric regions?
Pick an answer to check it.
Answer: C. Because it is the highest
The F2 region is the highest ionospheric layer, so signals refracted there come down farther away. Higher refraction point means longer skip distance.
Tip: Highest layer, longest skip.
