What happens when inductive and capacitive reactance are equal in a series LC circuit?
Pick an answer to check it.
Answer: C. Resonance causes impedance to be very low
In a series LC circuit at resonance, the inductive and capacitive reactances cancel each other. Only the small resistance is left, so impedance is very low. A parallel LC circuit is the one with very high impedance at resonance.
Tip: Series resonance = low impedance.
