What is the effect of transmission line loss on SWR measured at the input to the line?
Pick an answer to check it.
Answer: A. Higher loss reduces SWR measured at the input to the line
Line loss weakens the reflected power before it gets back to the meter, so the SWR measured at the input looks lower than at the antenna. A very lossy line can hide a bad match.
Tip: Lossy line makes SWR look better.
