What does an FM signal sound like when received slightly off frequency?
Pick an answer to check it.
Answer: D. The audio becomes distorted
An FM receiver decodes changes in frequency. If you are tuned slightly off frequency, the signal falls partly outside the receiver's passband and the audio becomes distorted. The pitch does not change the way it does with SSB.
Tip: FM off frequency = distorted, not pitch-shifted.
